About Me

First and foremost, I’m a computer geek. I love every aspect of technology—from IT and systems to creative design. Brainstorming, researching, problem-solving, developing ideas and concepts, and turning those ideas into a finished product are all in my wheelhouse. Computer life is in my soul.

My design philosophy comes from a diverse educational and professional background that combines the tactical, hands-on nature of landscape design with the principles and processes I apply to computer design, IT, software, and operating systems. I’ve always enjoyed both sides of the equation: understanding how things work and figuring out how to make them work better.

Growing up in the Adirondacks of New York, surrounded by nature, inspired me to pursue a degree in landscape design. Shortly after graduating, computers came to the forefront of my life, and I found myself drawn to the technical side of technology. I immersed myself in networking and the nuts and bolts of computers, developing a strong foundation in IT and systems.

Eventually, my desire for a more creative pursuit led me back to college to study computer animation. That experience introduced me to the world of digital design, and I quickly fell in love with the creative process. Designing became more than a skill—it became a passion.

I consider myself a lifelong, self-described student and avid reader. I never tire of learning, exploring new ideas, experimenting with new programs and software, or finding better ways to solve problems. Technology is constantly changing, and while that change can sometimes be daunting, I find it exciting. There is always something new to discover, learn, and experiment with.

My skills are diverse because my interests are diverse. As both a designer and a computer geek, I enjoy exploring everything from Adobe's vast array of creative software to new technologies, computer concepts, and emerging tools. I learn quickly and have a knack for figuring things out efficiently. Learning new things, solving problems, and taking on challenges are what make me tick.

My professional experience, combined with my family's background in construction, has shaped the way I approach my career. My experience as an engineer, help desk analyst, and IT professional, along with my work as a website designer, print designer, and business owner, has given me the ability to understand and work across a wide range of industries and disciplines.

I’ve worked with everyone from startups to government entities, often wearing many hats along the way. That experience has taught me to look beyond the technology or design itself—to listen carefully, understand the bigger picture, and, most importantly, put the client's needs first.

To me, learning IT and design isn’t simply about knowing how to use a particular program or understanding an operating system. Those technical skills can be learned. The real key is customer service.

Technology and design are ultimately about solving problems for people. Understanding a client's needs, listening to their ideas, translating those ideas into practical solutions, and delivering a finished product that works—that’s where my experience and passion come together.

I can help with one-on-one consultations, responsive technical support, IT analysis, research, web design, print design, creative development, and innovative solutions that take projects to the next level. My skill set is intentionally diverse, and I’m continually learning, experimenting, and growing.

I bring both sides of the equation to every project: the technical mindset of an IT professional and the creative, hands-on perspective of a designer. I enjoy figuring out how things work, finding better ways to do them, and, most importantly, making sure the end result works for the person I’m serving.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple philosophy: technology and design are tools for solving problems, communicating ideas, and creating better experiences for people.
